Emily is a public health professional and certified community health education specialist based in central New Jersey. Emily has worked, consulted, and volunteered for various health and human service organizations, including Youth Noise, Westat, MomsRising, the Alliance for the Betterment of Citizens with Disabilities, and Advocates for Youth. She is the founder of New Wave Grrrl, an information and resource-sharing blog for women with a focus on health disparities that impact women with disabilities, women of color, and the LGBTQI community. Emily is passionate about improving reproductive health outcomes, advocating for women’s health and rights, and eliminating health disparities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Marymount Manhattan College, a Master of Urban Affairs degree from Hunter College, professional certificates in Developmental Disabilities and Non-Profit/ Public Management from the Rutgers University School of Social Work, and a Master of Public Health degree from West Chester University.
