Neysha Alvarez – Issue Analyst

neyshaalvarez Neysha M. Alvarez graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies. She previously held the position of Global Peace and Security Advocacy Fellow in January 2009 as part of the Americans for Informed Democracy initiative on fulfilling a campaign on U.S.-Iranian relations, and has also previously worked as Campus Coordinator for Democracy Matters, a non-profit organization whose mission is to mentor the next generation of leaders dedicated to strengthening our democracy. She presently works at the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute (a federally-funded research and development center) in Arlington, Virginia. Her research interests focus on relations between the United States and the Middle East, Iranian foreign policy, and radicalization of youth. She looks forward to her new endeavor as an Issue Analyst for the Global Peace and Security team at Americans for Informed Democracy.
