At a Crossroads: Diplomacy & Iran International Videoconference

Being a part of an international videoconference where you and your classmates can dialogue with students from around the country and across the world about about peace and security issues can be a very powerful experience. Hopefully this experience demonstrates the need for cross-cultural understanding and multilateral cooperation, and will motivate your friends, fellow students, faculty, and staff to join your campus campaign and initiatives.

On November 20, 2008, AID will be hosting an international videoconference on the future of US-Iran relations.  The videoconference will consist of universities in predominantly Muslim countries in Africa and the Middle East along with universities from throughout the United States and hopefully Iran. Discussion topics will include cultural (mis)perceptions as well as other pressing issues between the two communities.  The videoconference will also include a special guest who is an expert in the field and has experience both in the US and Iran. Spaces are limited for American universities so sign up quickly for a spot!

The video-conference will be held 10:00 AM EST - 12:00 PM EST on November 20, 2008. To register for the video-conference please contact Vicente Garcia.
