YUGA/Plan USA
Youth United for Global Action (YUGA), an initiative of Plan USA’s Youth Engagement and Action Program, is a network of young people around the US taking local action on global issues like poverty, HIV/AIDS, climate change and child exploitation to build a new generation of globally conscious leaders who can shape an American foreign policy appropriate for our increasingly interdependent world. YUGA is supported by Plan USA, a non-religious, non-political, international humanitarian organization that supports millions of children around the world who live in extreme poverty.
AID and Plan USA work together to build leadership and analytical skills among youth, build awareness among young people about global issues, global governance and global citizenship, and increase informed participation of young people in global issues and the US democratic system. |

The OneVoice Movement
The One Voice Movement is a mainstream nationalist grassroots movement with over 600,000 signatories in roughly equal numbers both in Israel and in Palestine, and 3,000 highly-trained youth leaders. It aims to amplify the voice of the overwhelming but heretofore silent majority of moderates who wish for peace and prosperity, empowering them to demand accountability from elected representatives and work toward a two-state solution guaranteeing an end to violence and occupation and the establishment of a viable, independent Palestinian state at peace with Israel. OneVoice counts on its Board over 60 foremost dignitaries and business leaders across a wide spectrum of politics and beliefs, joining as OneVoice for conflict resolution.
OneVoice’s International Education Program aims to expose students and community members to Israeli and Palestinian youth voices, reduce polarization at high schools and on campus, and provide a model for youth engagement at the grassroots. We offer students a common cause and focus for their endeavors, enabling them to create a positive and effective force for change. Replicating our Middle East methodology, OneVoice is demonstrating to students that their views and goals overlap more than they realize and that united efforts can help build sustainable peace. OneVoice is excited to partner with AID’s Global Scholar program to engage American high school students in the urgent task of working as international community members to exert positive pressure to resolve the conflict. |
