The Senate bill continues to fall short where more is needed: full and flexible funding of prevention programs that will enable us to end the pandemic and eliminate the stigma and discrimination that fuel its spread. If we want to prevent as many infections as possible and save the greatest number of lives, we cannot let PEPFAR pass without rectifying its prevention shortcomings.

Please call your Senators TODAY and urge them to fix PEPFAR's prevention flaws. Go to www.congress.org to find your Senators' names and phone numbers. All you need to do is enter your zip code then click on the names of your Senators to locate their Washington, D.C. office phone numbers.

"Hi my name is ___________, and I am from ___(city/state)___. I am calling to urge Senator ________ not to pass PEPFAR without critical changes to the bill's flawed prevention policies. This includes removing the anti-prostitution loyalty oath, which limits organizations ability to promote both public health and fundamental human rights standards for people who have been involved in sex work. The policies are contrary to known best practices in public health and undermine efforts to limit the spread of HIV and sex trafficking.Thank you."
