On World AIDS Day, millions of people worldwide will be holding vigils, rallies, and other events to highlight the fact that over 40 million men, women, and children are infected with HIV/AIDS—and the pandemic is spreading. AID, College Kick AIDS, Student Global AIDS Campaign, the Dartmouth Coalition for Global Health, Physicians for Human Rights, Universities Allied for Essential Medicines, the American Medical Student Association, and the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding are organizing a rally, charity soccer tournament, and conference on November 30 - December 2 at Dartmouth College, in Hanover, NH. Come join the millions students around the world who are working to fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic! All events are free to students.

Saturday, December 1: World AIDS Day

- 10-11:30 am: Workshops:
- Universities Allied for Essential Medicines' (UAEM) National Advocacy Fellow, Lauren Smith, will discuss UAEM's structure, campaign, and how you can get involved in the fight for essential medicines.

- Americans for Informed Democracy's (AID) Director of Global Health, Courtney Matson, will facilitate a workshop on messaging and campus organizing.

- 12-4 pm: Indoor Soccer Tournament: Throughout the fall, College Kick AIDS has been organizing barefoot, 3v3 soccer tournaments to raise awareness and funds to support Grassroot Soccer, an organization that uses the power of soccer to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS. On World AIDS Day, students will come together for a national playoff!

- Zachary Kaufman from Dartmouth College and College KickAIDS activist will discuss how to organize a Lose the Shoes soccer tournament in order to raise money and awareness for Grassroot Soccer.

For those not playing soccer, there will be a number of other activities, including an organization fair to learn about all of the other student organizations that are working to end the global HIV/AIDS pandemic.
To commemorate the over 28 million men, women, and children who have died from AIDS, thousands of vigils will be held around the world. We will join them in solidarity this night.
Sunday, December 2: Conference

This day is geared toward giving students background information and the tools to organize on their campuses or in their communities to address a host of global health issues, such as environmental and trade issues.

Students will either be housed in the houses of Dartmouth students or in a nearby church or hotel. More details will be forthcoming.
Food:
All food is included at no charge to those students attending the events.
Transportation:
We will be working to coordinate carpools from surronding areas to the events, and will send out e-mails the week before the event.
