Hi! I am Leo Christian Villacortes Lauzon, 20 years old, a senior student at the University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College taking up Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences Major in Psychology, Minor in Political Science. I am from the Philippines.
As an activist, servant leader, and a youth advocate I am currently the National Focal Point of the UNICEF Rural Voices of Youth Philippines; Visayas Coordinator for Y-PEER Philippines; Assistant Secretary for Youth AIDS Filipinas Alliance (YAFA), Inc; Chairperson of Youth Against Debt Eastern Visayas; President of Animal Concerns and Awareness Club; Council Head on Education and Training of Brotherhood of Destiny, Inc.; Equity Officer of the Philippine Debate Union; Minister for Membership of U.P. Tacloban Debate Society; Peer Counselor; and member of various youth-lead and youth-serving organizations.
In my free time, I read books and magazines especially those pertaining to world politics, social issues, and biographies of luminaries. A frequent user of the internet, I use my social networking sites account like Facebook and Plurk to engage and connect with young people and friends. I also write and blog articles with my background as a student journalist. I love debating. It stimulates my critical thinking and empowers me to become a better agent of change, equipped with the power of persuasion. Most importantly, I love meeting people from all walks of life and get their stories.
