My name is Alexander Bowman I am writing today to you because i have begun the process of creating an organization with the goal of feeding the entire world for a single day. I think that the focus of my goal is central to informed democracy because people have to participate in order for a democracy to operate efficiently. Though currently the problem lies in many no believing that their vote will matter and do not even vote based on what they know. The question that I have is that if what a person knows prompts them to not vote, what has to change in either their understanding or the system to make their vote matter, in their eyes? I think that a single day of global participation would be a first step in getting people to understand the power that they have, if they would but use it. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might happen to read this.
