Mariam Asmar

aidphoto Mariam Asmar is the Manager of Social Media and Promotions at Time Warner Cable.

Mariam joined Time Warner Cable in 2008 as a Coordinator in Public Relations. While in PR, Mariam began working in the social media space. She assisted in the creation of a codified set of Social Media guidelines for employees, a corporate and regional presence for PR personnel on Twitter and TWC’s corporate blog www.twcableuntangled.com. Mariam also helped establish online customer care in the social media space, and served as a main point of contact in numerous social media campaigns including The Metropolitan Showtime House, the launch of Lo Mejor on demand and TWC presents the Masters in 3D. As TWC’s point of contact for the 2010 NBA All-Star Jam Session, Mariam helped develop its Social Media Communications plan, which was nominated for a 2010 Beacon Award.

As Social Media became more widely used in company initiatives, Mariam moved to the Corporate Marketing Department to work as a Manager of Social Media and Promotions. Since May 2010, Mariam has worked in this role across numerous departments to help launch TWC’s Corporate Facebook page with regional functionality, a Corporate YouTube page and continues to serve as a social media point of contact for TWC including at the MLB-All Star FanFest 2010, and the recently launched Time Warner Cable-sponsored Short Film Contest in conjunction with the Independent Film Channel (IFC).

Mariam joined Time Warner Cable after graduating from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in 2008. She currently resides in New York City,
