Tomorrow several organizations will team up to host "Relate, Create, Innovate," a conference aimed at helping young people to translate their experiences abroad into concrete social action. That idea is a founding principle of Americans for Informed Democracy (a co-sponsor of the event).

What's exciting is to see how AID is using the enthusiasm and drive of its members to bolster others' work. Many's the time a venerated organization doing good work has struggled to connect that work to the experiences and interests of young people. Organizations like AID -- together with networks like the Skoll Foundation's Social Edge -- fill a much-needed role in driving young people's enthusiasm to useful ends.

You can participate in a parallel online discussion designed to make the conference accessible to those who can't attend in person here.
