Deron Lovaas, director of the Oil Security Campaign at the Natural Resources
Defense Council in Washington, D.C., will speak today about America’s oil dependence at Florida Tech.
Lovaas’ talk will focus on what communities can do to reduce America’s oil consumption.
The title of Lovaas’s presentation is “Securing America: Solving Our Oil Dependence Through Innovation.”
After his presentation, members of the community will have the opportunity to make brief comments.
The free event begins at 3 p.m. in the Hartley Room of the Florida Tech Student Center.
It is part of a national series of town hall discussions. The series is sponsored by Americans for Informed Democracy.
