Responsibilities:
- Help implement a fundraising strategy that targets foundations, individuals and corporations. This also involves thinking through revenue-generating activities like merchandise, trainings, etc.
- Help draft and implement a marketing plan, including identifying audiences, tools, resources and timing.
- Promote and reinforce the AIDemocracy “brand”.
- Provide general administrative and logistical support for marketing and fundraising activities already in place.
Skills and qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communications skills;
- Great sense of youth culture, and images / approaches that resonate with youth.
- Computer and internet competency;
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to work both independently and in teams;

This is a part or full-time position (15-40 hours/week), depending on availability.Term is September – December 2011. Position is virtual, although there will be weekly staff meetings with AIDemocracy staff and interns based in DC. This is an unpaid position, although Intern will receive a travel stipend and numerous training opportunities.
