- Maintaining, promoting and developing content for our website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Flickr accounts
- Supporting other outreach efforts, including issue and advocacy training programs and activist toolkits
- Helping refine and implement our communications and outreach strategies
- Recruiting and supporting new AIDemocracy members and chapters, both online and in person
Skills and Qualifications
- Great verbal and written communications skills
- A good understanding of social media
- Must like meeting, inspiring and working with others
- Experience maintaining or building websites a plus!
- Experience supporting campus events or campaigns for global justice a plus!
- Strong interest in international development, environment, peace and security, and health issues a plus!
This is a part or full-time position (15-40 hours/week), depending on availability. Term is flexible, but must be for at least four months. Start date is also flexible, but no later than January 23. Position is virtual, although there will be weekly staff meetings and many other opportunities to engage with staff and students. This is an unpaid position, although Intern will receive numerous training opportunities.
