December 2nd - New Hampshire Young Leaders Regional Summit

Americans for Informed Democracy (AID) is working with students in New Hampshire to organize a youth leadership summit on global issues. AID will bring together motivated students regionally who want to affect global change with policy experts on climate change and energy use, human rights, nuclear weapons, poverty alleviation, trade, global health, and peace and security issues to discuss critical global issues and solutions, equip students with the information to develop questions for candidates, and provide young leaders with the training, equipment and networks to impact presidential campaign events. The conferences will bring together at least 75 young leaders in from throughout the state.

The summit will have four components:

1. An introductory panel comprised of experts stating what is at stake in the upcoming elections on their issue and the importance of civic engagement

2. A choice to participate in one of four expert in-depth sessions in which policy experts will go into more detail about their issue and what they would like the next presidential candidate to do (in a nonpartisan way) with the goal of assisting students in developing questions to pose to candidates during campaign events

3. A training on how to pose questions to candidates and how to film these interaction

4. Geographically assigned campaign planning teams where students will commit to attend at least three candidate events and will develop their plan during this time.

You can make a difference by making your voice heard on these issues! Young people know what is at stake and know we can make a difference by making our voices heard!
